the musket room
new york | america

a friend took me to this treasure in manhattans nolita district. we went for a regular dinner – which was extraordinary. we spontaneously went for chef and co-owner matt lamberts’ tasting menu a few weeks later and i would recommend the musket room as probably the best restaurant in this area ever since. barbara lambert – the most sympathic general manager – led us through 10 incredible courses with its wine pairing. you truly feel the new zealand spirit in every detail and the love the owners have for their customers.
special attention to their lovely backyard. several herbal beds growing ingredients that make chefs’ dishes distinctive. the garden is kind of magic. not a matter of course you are invited to see this. we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse and chat with the gm and topping off the night with a drink.

decorated with one michelin star this culinary sensation provides a down to earth feeling and more than reasonable prices.

this musket hits your heart.
